Saying Goodbye is Always a Surprise.

I have lost many off my blog list. Too many! It is the way life is. Many if not most of my bloggers are my age.  Oddly a blogger just recently wrote that she hoped we would be around to say good-bye to her! Many of you may have not read Bill's blog about baking and dealing with his love for learning French,  but like a candle's flame, he is now gone.

  1. I know... It's sad. I've lost several bloggers I really liked. I'd even spent time with one of them. Sigh...

  2. It is amazing to me how one comes to rely on the blogging friends one has. I still miss one I followed for a few years.

  7. I've only had one blogger die that I know of, many more have just quit. one blog was there one day and deleted the next with no explanation or indication that the blogger was either ill or planned to shut it down. I'm still wondering what happened.

  8. I am so sorry. He seemed a really good man. I have a blind, on o2, blogger friend whose husband is now in a nursing home. She is trying hard to stay in her own home, but I can't see how it will work.

  9. Regardless of the length of friendship. losing a friend is always hard. Blogging introduced me to whole new world of friendship and I've grieved for those who I've lost the same as for any other friend. It's those connections that drew me back after a year away from blogland.

  11. Sorry you’ve lost a blogger friend. I’ve missed a few bloggers since I started and one who simply disappeared that I still wonder what may have happened to her. She had ended her old blog, started a new one and sent me an email so I could follow. A friend had left her money and she was going back and forth to Ireland, I think. Then — I heard nothing more and nothing more was ever added to her new blog.

    1. I wondered about her too-- know who you mean. I have also tried to find out different ways but never have learned if she's gone onto better life or just gone on :(

  12. Through the years, I've had several blogging friends that died. It's always a shock. It is a real loss even for those we never met in RT. In some ways, bloggers share with each other in ways that the supposed RT does not.
