The Liberal Media...wherefore art thou?

Pretty lazy or busy or whatevah...but encourage you to read and see if you agree with this argument about the liberal media.

He's exactly right that the majority of "news" reported deals with the entertainment business, or only skim the surface of things, or report things without any fact-checking. It's ridiculous!

  2. Just news light, sound bites, no content at all.

  3. It seems what we really have is an incompetent media.

  4. I confess I did not read the whole article. I can only react to the first part. Just like in anything else, the media will produce what people will watch. Viewership means advertising money. Money means ...well, money, and that's what it's all about. Real news only happens in short sound bites. If the majority of watchers wanted more, we would get it. They don't.

  5. A recent survey of college degrees ranked journalism as the #1 degree that won't pay off or even land one a job. How sad. How can we have an independent media if journalism is no longer a viable degree. Interesting link.

  6. He is just a conservative bashing liberal. I for one am pretty tired of his form of propaganda.
Apparently consideration of the big picture, and reasonable methods to get to a viable nation are not on the agenda, for him or the liberal media.

  7. I am going to have that "If it bleeds it leads" line stuck in my head for days!

This is a lot to absorb. I am going to have to read it again.

  8. I am going to have to read it several times.

Short sound bytes have contributed to the cut of liberal news. I've switched my evening news over to PBS hour news coverage, and we will just have to wait and see.

  9. Depends on what liberal outlets you mean.I'm well up on these issues as a result of following good liberal media sources. But being informed, while necessary,is only part of the job. It is also necessary to act.
