My husband left just before this harvest...now my back hurts and my feet are wet from picking these out in the rain this morning. I have to pull some cookbooks I guess! I need a large family. I feel guilt at this abundance after watching the tragic news these past few days.
How wonderful, and how rewarding. Now I am trying not to feel envious of your "free" time... I havent even blogged for ages! I must "make time"...
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful. I am envious.
ReplyDeleteI see strawberry jam, strawberry bread, strawberry shortcake and strawberries on my cereal and ice cream.
I love to find the unexpected strawberry on a blog!
ReplyDeleteI just cap and slice them, and put them in a large bowl and sprinkle with Splenda and refrigerate. They are wonderful on cereal, over ice cream and cake or just in a bowl by themselves!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a nice pick. You have to be getting tired of strawberries. They were never one of my fav's. I suppose you could freeze them.
ReplyDeleteUgh. I hate the sore back. Hope yours goes away quickly.
Tabor ... I'm not kidding here --- you do NOT have to believe this, but I can actually SMELL those darn strawberries! LOVE THEM.
