Summer in the city

Moving between parked cars
Black beneath pulsing with sear
All is frozen, still

  1. Bravo!!! I like this one, and I like it very much indeed - clear crisp imagery, lean and sculptural lines and a good fine texture, and it says everything wonderfully. As a northern resident, I can relate to it perfectly. The photo also cooled me right down, and that is a very good thing today.

  2. Haiku is so much fun! What a lovely image to give us for the hazy, hot days. Winter is enticing for many at this point! We have been relatively cool, but today was mid 80s and weekend temps will be in the 90s, much warmer than usual for Seattle.

(Hope your hubby is resting comfortably and doing well.)

  3. Thanks, kerrdelune, this was exactly how I was feeling walking home from work. Sky, hubby is doing as well as can be expected for someone who is being irradiated between his legs. He has no pain, just up during the night with false urges and having daytime fatigue. He may go back to work today, but he hasn't decided. He stayed home yesterday and cleaned the apartment and did the laundry!!

  5. So, Babe, is this preliminary to telling us he's okay? Hope so.

  7. Yes, glad to hear your hubby is recovering well.

And what wonderful imagery. I would say I miss the snow, but I think I am more partial to warm weather :)
