"Cardi B Shares First Photo of Daughter Kulture Hours After Announcing Offset Split"
It took me a minute or two, or honestly, I gave up trying to figure out the headline above in under a minute. I just glanced at the article to make sure it was not something important I needed to know. I have no clue who these people are, I do not care who these people are and I wonder when we are going to quit trying to be so unique in this world when we hand out names!
I also hate that my life gets cluttered with emails and FB posts about such nonsense.
Yes, I am really old!
You just took 20 years off my life, in response to you feeling old.
ReplyDeleteI know the names in the headline, rappers and child. I watch the late shiws, mainly Jimmy Fallon. There is some brain activity one shouldn't miss. :)
Offset is the husband
DeleteCardi B is the wife
Kulture is their adorable baby
I also sometimes watch Meet the Press and such. Unless I write down names and info, I forget. Entertainers with creative names are easier to remember. PBS today, my notes have 2 books to check out by Malcolm Nance and the other by James Malvenon. Diversity of interests is good for the brain.
don't know who they are, don't care who they are or their offspring. I just glide right past that stuff.
ReplyDeleteNo, no. This is extremely important stuff and worth the hours to decipher.
ReplyDeleteGood. I appoint you Ambassador in deciphering headlines.
DeleteMy few hours at home after work are spent on my family and important news, so like you, i do not know or care except that i wish these people well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh. Somethings are just not important enough to know about, although I see one of the commenters above can actually make sense of this.
ReplyDeleteI don't know any of these people, either. I see their names occasionally bandied about in headlines, but I quickly move on. :-)
ReplyDeleteToday people garner fame from just doing nothing but being a spot in today's news. It is the dross that accompanys supposedly 'proper' news ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL No you are not. You are just, as am I, of a different generation. I agree that not caring for this sort of drivell is a good thing. Check out the poem my 13 year old granddaughter wrote. She and her mother have little money, and right now less than usual. Her mom may not be good at budgeting their non-existing income, but mom has done a wonderful thing in raising this kid. Don't react to those nothing people and you will be vastly happier.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely too old to keep track of these people and care what they are doing. I see the names, sometimes with pictures and can't figure out who is who.
ReplyDeleteI have actually heard of Cardi B (grandchildren fell compelled to educate me on modern music in spite of my lack of interest) but I really have no interest in her life drama.
ReplyDeleteThe radio was on in the car one day. The top news item in this Canadian province was what Kim Kardashian called her baby.. i almost had an accident!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the very good words. Tho we have met in person only twice, I consider you a friend. Yes, we have an awful lot in common. Yes, tell us about the dinner, please.
ReplyDeleteI was trying to think of clever names for me and my baby. Don't need to because I already have a name and don't have a baby. The fad names in another 20 years will be Ann, Susie, Tom, Philip, etc.
ReplyDeleteYes, Granny, you have hit the nail o the head. What goes around comes around and it is all a fad and search to be unique.
DeleteThe crux of the problem is our celebrity obsessed culture. I didn’t care about such celebrity doings nonsense in my younger days and could care even less now as it’s become so much worse.
