Not Florence, But a Flashback

Since Mage asked and others may have missed this post from so long ago...this is the story of when my house flooded

  1. What an experience. You may now be glad of it (or not), but you'd never wish to repeat it.

  2. Well, I can totally relate have just been through this myself. 1979 I had a two yr. old and an infant. I don't remember Claudette so you must not have been in Houston but one of the coastal communities.

I left a comment on the Texas flood post. Today and then had a moment of melding.

  6. I am just amazed at the uglyness of it all for you all. I hope the water isn't coming up there. Fingers and toes crossed.

  7. What a harrowing tale. I cannot image going through such turmoil and especially with small children. Does your daughter ever talk about the fish under the breakfast table?

    1. Not so much these days...but it left its impression many years ago.

  10. Boy I bet those fish did.
In two days, I have no notes on my flood entry. Could you check for me and see if it is there? Thank you.
