As a follow-up to comments I made on one of the young men in my life:
This was mailed on May 10, days after Mother's Day, and I got it yesterday...
There was a little hand written note inside:
He finds mushiness very hard. Yet, I love him completely.
wonderful
ReplyDeletemy son's
there has never been a day that you were not there for me
love their
words...
I laughed and loved it!
ReplyDeleteYou have a true man child, all right. Thank you for sharing it, I think I'll be smiling all day. :-)
ReplyDeleteThey tangle themselves in our hearts, and nothing can remove them.
ReplyDeleteSweet :)
ReplyDeleteI understand that. Mushiness bothers me too.
ReplyDeleteI received a birthday gift and card from a friend once and before I opened the card I made some flippant remark about hoping it wasn't a mushy card and of course she had taken the time to write a wonderful note about our friendship and how much it meant to her. open mouth, insert foot.
ReplyDeleteHe did good for a non mushy man. George used to give his mom one mushy card and one funny card.
ReplyDeleteIt's never too late to send love - even if (a bit of) mushiness is involved. I'm sure it brought a big smile to your face.
ReplyDeleteWell I think that's pretty sweet. I wonder if he secretly reads your blogs!
ReplyDeleteI got late stuff too! Even sweeter than the card!
ReplyDeleteGracious! He sounds like my son!
