When it rains...when is it going to rain?

When it rain it pours...or not.  I was complaining about the fires in Colorado.   The storm that roared through our area a few days ago and which has left a large number of people in Maryland and Virginia without power in 99 degree heat, passed over us around midnight without dropping much rain, downing only a few large branches, which, of course, fell directly on the one bed that seems to have survived rabbits, ground hogs and drought, and leaving us with power!  We never lost power!  Tell that to my PC.  It lost its power and is now at the Geek doctor's.  Therefore posting will be intermittent until I pay what they wish or exchange my first born.  This global warming with it increase in intensive storms and weather patterns is a bugger!

  1. We have lost of branches and twigs down in my neighborhood and did not lose power. However only 3 miles away from me, a tornado touched down, and lots of destruction is throughout.

I hope you get your computer back, in mint condition, soon.

  2. A T T E N T I O N -
    BLOG FRIENDS OF TABOR:

I am starting the petition to get her to put an email address into her profile so that we can respond privately to her when she comments on our blogs. :)

Leave her a comment if you agree with me.

Tabor: Go to "Edit Profile." Under the sub-heading "Identity" and next to "Email Address" type in an email address. (It does not have to be the same one you use for your user name if you want to keep that one private. A gmail address can easily be created.) Scroll to the bottom and click "Save Profile." Voila! :) You will be amazed at the feedback you get from us in response to what you say on our blogs.

  3. Last week Debby was kicking up heels. The computers stopped dead. We actually spoke to a live person at our internet provider. She told us they had no problem. Their system was all o.k. She advised us our modem was very old. Well, who the heck isn’t around here? They would replace if free if we would bring the old one in. Twenty miles to town, twenty miles back. And it was late afternoon. They were closing. Miraculously everything was fine in the morning. I just love it when they tell you everything is fine on their end and it must be your problem. Hope your computer is soon back healthy and sound. Happy Fourth.

  4. I don't know what I'd do if my computer died. I'd feel like a fish out of water.

  6. I wonder if it was a power surge in the electric line that caused the PC to drop out. Sometimes they can be so sensitive. I leave mine on all the time even during storms. I like to live on the edge!

  7. We too need rain. For a while we believed we would avoid the drought of last year and the rain fell in our area and hay was harvested and all appeared right with the world. Now it's all getting brown again, our incinerator is packed full and we dare not burn and I can't go outside enough to refill the animal's water containers. If I couldn't come in and seek refuge in my computer I don't know what I'd do.

I thought of you and yours - knowing they live in that area.
    Good luck on computer...

  9. I hate it when the rain heavily pours. It makes me nervous and scared that any time their would be a flood. I think I'm just paranoid or what.
