No Tornadoes, No Complaint

All we got was some very nasty winds and torrential downpours...but it was enough to dislodge these two tulip trees.  One had been damaged in the building of the house 5 years ago, but we thought the other was pretty healthy.  Notice that it missed the compost corral but did knock aside the bat house.  AND more money to fix that damn deer fence...AGAIN!  At least I am safe and my house is safe.  I will not complain.

  1. Our logs in the bedroom leaked with down pouring rain. Got the de-humidifier going in there.

  2. What a terrifying storm system, so widespread an deadly. Looks like you have some serious tree-clean-up to do. Future firewood? I'm glad you're safe.

  10. I'm the sort that mourns fallen trees- sorry that happened to your yard! But yes, all without twisters this week are counting their lucky stars-
We just got alot of wind, rain, n lightening, but not alot of local damage. I worked right through it n the power stayed on.
Best of luck with the clean-up.

  12. Wow. They say the rain soaked ground will increase the chances of trees uprooting with the high wind.

We certainly have had a lot of wet ground. Let's hope it is over.

  15. SO GLAD you are safe. What a storm. We only had some loud thunder and lots of hot wind and then rain and more rain - but no trees down. No shingles gone.

    So glad you are safe.
