Ten Questions to Ponder.

  1. Do you ever wonder if we truly have only a finite number of heartbeats in our magnificent body?
  2. Do you wonder if you had started writing poetry when you were young that you would have run out of poems by now.
  3. Do you wonder if there could ever be too many children to love? (No. this is not an Octomom question.)
  4. Are 1000 digital sunset photos too many to collect?  What about 2000?
  5. Is it better to live in a society with too many rules or too few?
  6. Can you remember the last time you laughed until your face hurt?  (I can, but it was too long ago.)
  7. How many love songs can be written before they all sound too familiar?
  8. Would you be bored by too much good news?  Would you like to try it and see?
  9. How old do you have to be before you are too old...for whatever life throws your way?
  10. Finally, what do you have too much of and what do you have not enough of?
I am off to warm my toes in some Florida ocean water knowing full well that Mother Nature's disposition will follow me with tropical storms and maybe tornadoes there.  (If you want to know why, check in on my other blog in a few days to see what is happening in the Room Without Walls.)  Meanwhile you can ponder all of the above!  I will bring my laptop and be checking in.

  1. Some good thought provoking questionis; I especially like the one about watching too much "good news" and would definitely like to give it a try! Also, I don't think one is ever too old for what life throws your way; just the way the universe works.

  2. I worry more about sneezes than heartbeats. I heard once that brain cells die every time we sneeze.

I started writing poetry at age ten and ran out at age 52.

When children outnumber the care givers they need to thrive then there are too many for love to reach.

Gather all the sunsets you can.

Society needs to stop making rules when they replace common sense.

My spouse can trigger that kind of laughter in me very often. It is the blessing of our marriage.

They say jokes are all variations of 720 of the same. I think love songs are all variations of one.

It is a sad fact of nature that good news does not hold our attention the way bad or gory facts call to us.

I have grown far too old when I cannot supervise my own care.

I am like Goldilocks at the last bowl, the last chair, the last bed that are all just right.

Tabor, what a great thought provoking blog post. Have a wonderful vacation and I'll go check your other blog in the meantime.

  4. I am with Bill.......my head is now spinning! Too much to ponder me thinks! LOL!
Oh! And I would definitely like to give "good" news a try. That would be refreshing. I don't think you are ever too old...in fact the older you get the better you are in coping I think. And there can never be enough sunsets. And poetry can go on forever. One can get tired of writing them but they are there!

  6. Stay warm in Florida. I haven't run out of anything yet, and as long as life is in balance and I keep getting rid of stuff, life is good. :)

  7. I would like to have some good news. There is too much of the other kind and I would never get bored with happy news

  8. I like to ponder things too. Does a stalker think to himself, "am I a stalker?" Hmm. I too, wish there were more good news. Maybe hearing more good news would put more good vibes into the universe and then the world would start to shift. I believe in the vibes that we put out. How can there be peace when all we hear about is killing and stealing and beating and cheating, etc. We need some good news.

  9. i started writing poems when i was in elementary but until now, i don't consider myself a poet. figurative ideas don't come often to me. when they do, i just jot them down until i can come up with something.

1000 digital sunset photos? hmmm, the philippines has 7,107 islands. so if i could only hop from one island to another, i would collect exactly the same number of sunrise and sunset photos but will never compare them. :) i'd save them on an external hard disc or upload them on the internet to save memory. :)

as they said, your questions are thought-provoking. i love them! :)

  10. These are great questions that I'll be thinking about today (or, knowing myself I'll be thinking about my own to ask?). The only answer that comes in this moment is that I don't have enough energy (but I'm grateful for what energy I do have).
