Motherhood

Here's to those who got it right and to those who at least tried.

What a nice present from Mother Earth on the day before Mother's Day!

  1. Well put - I guess I am one that tried and did the best I could with whatever knowlege I had at that time.

  2. Motherhood is one occupation that is on the job training. I did what I thought was right at the time, but now see mistakes I made.

My children know that my mistakes were made with love and if you show them unconditional love nothing else can harm them.

  3. your bearded iris is beautiful. most of ours won't bloom for another month, but the dwarfs are just about ready to open.

hope your mother's day is wonderful!

  4. Your iris is beautiful! What is the flower in the first photo? I have a mixed bag of emotions about motherhood--I had a wonderful mother---who had her own problems---and I'm left hanging back in left field when it comes to figuring out even the beginnings of this step-mothering business. :)

  5. As long as we give it our best shot and ask for forgiveness, we will have beautiful citizens in the world. The top plant is a Pope Paul Clematis.

  6. Giving mothers an Iris and a Pope Paul Clematis through a blog post is so sweet!

In Japan, children give their mothers Carnations on mother's day. It's their practice.

    I miss my mother today.

    Happy Mother's Day Tabor! :)
