Christmas Day and for a day or two after people post all their photos of family gatherings on Facebook. This is fun and always portrays well-dressed people behaving correctly with big smiles facing various cameras. I thought I would post a photoshopped picture of my grands for a little more anonymity. This is one of the earliest photos of the day where the three of them were waiting,... and waiting, ...and waiting for parents to join them so they could open their presents. Patient souls.
Patiencei deed! Three sweeties to love! You are blessed!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful; i hope they all got what they wanted.
ReplyDeleteI'm with the kids on this one, waiting is not fun.
ReplyDeleteNow that my grands are older, we had to wait for them. when we arrived at their house they were just getting out of bed!
ReplyDeleteYour grands look very patient and polite, and beautiful too!
They do look like they're waiting.. waiting... hope it was over sooner rather than later. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe moments before opening presents require patience, the moment of opening the present sheer bliss, but keep your fingers crossed it is what they wanted! I love the long faces.
ReplyDeletePatience is a virtue that may be lacking in ours ... Actually they were pretty good, just up really early.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun years. They pass so fast and good you can enjoy them while you have them.
ReplyDeleteI see they are that awkward age -- too big to jump into parents' bed and get away with it, too young to be blasé enough to sleep until noon.
ReplyDeleteLOL...and they didn't come wake them. Hope you took a lot of pictures too.
ReplyDeleteSo patient and sleepy looking. My four youngest grands were up and hopping around like chickens, the four teenagers were wrapped in blankets looking for coffee in the kitchen. That's my family. Fireplace crackling and a breakfast buffet was ready. Warm, happy moment in time.
ReplyDeleteThey look tired of waiting.
