Its a Disease and We Have to Cure the Symptoms

I am angry, dismayed, hopeful and confused. Therefore I will let Bob speak the truth.

Go here to Bob's blog and face the real world and the voices that merge to speak the truth.

  1. The "war on drugs" has been a disaster from day one. Only the poor suffer....and the cartels and governments thrive with power and money.

(Then there's the DARE program. Mrs Reagan really knew her drugs).

thanks for the link to Bob Dunn. I've bookmarked.

We will always just treat symptoms. There's too much to loose if we go after the illness.

  4. I usually worry about anyone who says they "speak the truth" b/c they usually turn out to be fanatics, cultists or crazies. But this is an insightful, provocative post. Thanks for the link.

  5. That was worth reading. There's a lot wrong with this world, and I'm not sure how to address all ills.

  6. Interesting commentary. Thanks for sharing. I don't have the solution, except to continue to live my life as an example to those around me.

Checked out the post you recommend, but came back here to leave a comment.

I read 'The Population Bomb' by Erlich in the 1960s. Became so upset, I had a breakdown. After six pregnancies in 5 years, I discovered birth control, left the Catholic church, went back to school, and became a demographer.

Over-population is a huge issue in the countries to the South of us. Over-population makes it difficult to maintain a stable government.

People of my generation tried everything ...everything. At one point, USAID dropped multi-colored prophylactics (rubbers) from the air arguing that all the people needed was access to contraception. Nothing seemed to help.

At some point we can do no more until we address our own issues at home of illiteracy, poverty, homelessness and hunger.

I personally support economic development to help improve the welfare of other nations. The NAFTA trade agreement is a good start.
