Creep 'em Out!

Well, I did not lose electricity and am feeling very happy about that.  At least one large tree down in the front yard out by the drive way.  Waiting for sunrise to see the yard, although there will continue to be rain throughout the day.  Sandy is still leaving a trail of life-threatening devastation to the north of me with broken levees flooding entire towns, terrible fires reducing dozens of homes to ash and 3 foot snow blizzards to the west and north.  May we all hope those continuing their watch and wait are safe and may we send some relief to those who are now devastated.

  1. The storm has been consuming here. We have good friends in Rhode Island so have been watching for news of that tiny state in particular.

  4. What an apocalyptic storm. I'm pretty sure your chocolate chip cookies saved you though. They always help.

  7. We are worried about our friends in Point Pleasant. They are in their 80s. So many people affected. It's huge. Be safe and stay well, everyone.

  8. I'm close to Richmond. All is well here, aside from an unfortunate car accident in which two people died. It's sad.

I'm glad you appear to have come out on the good side, too. I hope it won't be too costly to deal with your downed tree.

  12. Whew! That was a close one. We just never know.

It just chilled me to read about the people who did not evacuate and they were told - stay in your homes - it is too late to leave now.

It just chilled me to the bone.

  14. Glad you are ok. I have an uncle now living in N Carolina, haven't heard from him yet.
I hope all is still well for you there- Glad you were spared the 3 feet of fluff at least- That must be terrible for those folks-.

Sorry you lost another tree- I remember last year's hurricane yard pics you had...

I'm ok here, but we had a storm remnant microburst nearby just last night shooting tree trucks thru homes, so it wasn't over yet! At least the street flooding was short lived.

Lots of praying for victims here- so many! Heard 72 today. More life-altering events for all to weather n learn from.
