Elegance and power shine from the first picture, the second is fun, quite amusing. I think I probably prefer the first shot. Then again, it depends on my mood at the time.
I don't know if this is just a western thing or not, but years ago there was a painted pony contest and life size horses (not live ones, you understand) were decorated by artists. The horses were shown all over and I took my granddaughters to the Mall to see some of them.
Now you can buy the small replicas of them. They are called Painted Ponies. My son gave me one and I bought another one. I will not collect any more, but they can become addictive.
I enjoy looking at horses from afar. Artist renderings of horses are wonderful. Western movies are great for the thundering of horses hooves. But getting up close and personal with a horse if not my thing. Every time I've gotten near a horse it has injured me in some form or fashion.
I love horses- so beautiful a creature! I used to ride in my teenagehood. I have a large collection of Breyer Model Horses- the size of those larger ones in the middle. I always want them all!
I must say that this is the first time I've seen horses riding atop a luggage rack. lol
ReplyDeleteSome would say they prefer them as opposed to the beautiful, thousand pound wonders in the barn pic.
Me... I can look at them all day... the real ones. :)
You never know what you're going to see.
ReplyDeleteLOL

ReplyDeleteI pass three horse barns on my usual daily walk, so scenes like your first picture are a common sight for me. Still beautiful every time.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics.
ReplyDeleteOK, that's weird and cool at the same time. Wish I knew the full story...
ReplyDeleteFun pairing of photos.. and a lot of horsepower!
ReplyDeleteLove it! It uploaded slowly, building suspense. I never would have guessed.
