It came so fast.
It was so unpredicted
In eyes that had been dry for what seemed forever.
It flowed across the hollow
And held and glistened.
All the others in the room held their breath,
Concerned and maybe even afraid.
It was as if this sudden precipice
Meant illumination or darkness,
And yet it may have determined
A presidency.
This was really good Tabor. It has seemed forever and will make or break her. I think it made her more human but I'm still not giving her my vote.

Staged? Perhaps. I read that the sign "Iron My Shirt!" was staged, too.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Tammy.
ReplyDeleteTabor, thanks for the visit. The picture I put up was googled at "Brookstone massage chairs", and it looks very similar to the one she had, but I think hers was professional quality.
oh, we are thrilled about hillary's win in NH. we are both big supporters, convinced that she can help this country heal its crippled legs. i wish richardson would consider a vp position.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't firmly decided which liberal candidate I will vote for. And I have very mixed feelings about John McCain...he is the best of the conservatives...but also the best challenger for the Democrats.
ReplyDeleteI hope not. I don't think it will work on Musharaff.
ReplyDeleteTabor That poem is powerful.
