This is beautiful way that gifts are wrapped in Japan. Clearly the process has just as much importance as the product.

The little cats are cute. Sorry to hear about your husband - these things come at us as a total surprise don't they. We think our health is there for ever. Thanks for commenting on mine I will revisit, and am now going to look at your wine blog if I can find it - a subject dear to my heart.

The wine blog is a great idea! I am fortunate in being able to have a day trip to France from time to time (I live quite near the Channel tunnel) where I stock up on some excellent stuff at far cheaper prices than in England. The Chateauneuf de Pape that we had at Christmas was particularly superb. In whites, have you tried any Gerwertztraminer from Alsace Lorraine? A grape to watch out for.
