Egad!!
This past weekend was one with house full of kids, and young adults, and boating, and picnicking, and watching the grands in the Spartan race under the hot sun, and eating crabs, and watching movies, and getting up one night with the 8-year-old throwing up and getting up the second night with 4-year-old with a wet bed, and nursing the 8-year-old from a wasp sting (her second of the weekend by the way) which was like DYING(!), and cooking for everyone and cleaning and laundry of beach towels, sheets, etc.!! You will be lucky if you hear from me for days! I have the ten-year-old this week and Monday morning has already been busy with his amazing ability to talk without breathing from the moment he gets up.

We will be on duty for the next two weeks. Might get a twitch weary.
ReplyDeleteWe love you, we love you...don't forget to breathe.
ReplyDeleteBee and wasp stings. Ammonia. Why it takes the pain away, I dont' know.
I'll be praying for you to have enough energy to do all this. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWhoa... Sounds like a busy week.
ReplyDeleteThose are both precious and demanding years.
ReplyDeleteMy grandchildren are all young adults. You make me miss their younger days. Especially miss those talkers who could go for hours without breathing as they were telling tales of delight.
ReplyDeleteI understand. Or, as some would say, I hear you.
ReplyDeleteI can see the "reserved" sign for you going up in heaven right now.
ReplyDeletesounds very familiar. and my grandson, talks constantly and when he runs out of new things to say he just starts repeating himself. been like that since he learned to talk and he's 18 now.
ReplyDeleteYour life is never boring.
ReplyDeleteGulp! LOL

Yikes! It sounds both wonderful (except for the vomit and the bee sting) and exhausting all at the same time. You are going to need some recoup time. :)
ReplyDeleteJust kind thoughts mid way through your week.
ReplyDeleteBlessings.....
ReplyDeleteJust stopping in through my browse through bloggersville and decided to share in the conversation. I hope you don’t mind.
45 years, oh that is fabulous, I am sure through the years it’s been wonderful, trying, exhilarating, frustrating, all part of life trials and triumphs.
I have no grandchildren though I do have two God sons and I ask myself all the time, where did my energy go? I remember rolling around with my kids and acting the fool now I just look at these God sons of mine 6 and soon to be 3 and think, 'my goodness how do they do it.' My daughter laughs and says, "but mommy you did it and by yourself."
Thank you for sharing and indulging me.
Stay blessed.
peace.
