We may not always get it right, but I am so fortunate to have been born in this country.

  1. Of course, we just never think of the 4th of July as anything special!

Happy 4th to you from Shropshire.

Now I know why somebody in the village had fireworks this evening!

PS. thanks for your message, who does Thursday Thoughts? Can anybody join?
Sometimes I think I would like a set theme, getting enough interesting blogging ideas is not easy. There are many blogs about which set a task, i am looking for something amusing, perhaps even demanding.

  4. Hi There, Happy 4th to you!!!!! We do have so much to be thankful for here in this country... I think we take so much of our freedom for granted.. Tomorrow is a day when we just need to thank God for US --and for our fabulous country (with all of its weaknesses and strengths)...

    Have a wonderful 4th weekend.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  7. An especially nice one because we watched fireworks with Bryce and his family, looking somewhat like your fireworks plant, is it? Have a good one.

  10. I saw a short and colourful blast of what must have been practice fireworks going off across the water in Point Roberts last night as I sat on the beach in White Rock. Happy 4th neighbour!

I feel the same way. Hope you had a nice holiday. I can't believe that I didn't hear one firecracker or see any lights in the sky this year.

  12. I hope you enjoyed your holiday.

Democracy may not be perfect, but it's the best system found so far. I'm glad I was born in the U. S. A.
