Yesterday afternoon was too nice to stay indoors so I went for a walk in the woods just north of where I live. Most of the leaves were off the trees, but there were still some nice photos. Wandered through the grassy field to find soft green deer beds in the middle. The final picture of a tree in rock sure makes my life look easy.
Hello Tabor-- I've been reading your comments over at grrlscientist for a long time. I thought I should stop by and see your wonderful blog, and wonderful it is. I just read some of your older posts and really appreciated the one about what to do in DC when you have free time. The quotes were very inspired. It looks like you may be in northern Virginia? The photos are beautiful.
Thanks for the comments everyone. It was such a lovely day, I just had to share with those who are too busy or find it too inconvenient to get out. Hoss, I don't know what has happened to Blogger, but sometimes my posts make it and sometimes they don't!
Wow! More beautiful photos. My favorites are the last one with the tree in a rock, and the one with the individual, red leaf - looks as though it's struggling to maintain its appearance in with all the tans and browns. Gorgeous!
Beautiful, just beautiful. I like the color of late autumn. You live in such a nice place... Some of the pictures, specially the last one, remind me of the photoes I took this fall. If you have time, please see the picture here. You will find the similar angle.
What great pictures! I especially like the one by the water. Fall is officially over here in WI. It is definitely my favorite season. I recently wrote in my blog about why I love fall. http://kimandjason.com/kimsblog/?p=35
Lovely photos - I happened upon your blog.
ReplyDeleteYou sound like the type of person I would like to know...
My blog is mostly notes from classes I take at my synagogue so you might not learn much about the other sides of me...
I do like your style and have bookmarked your blog.
Carol
