One Down, Three Thousand to Go

This is the second time in a month that our contractor has been blocked from exiting (first time was entering) the lot to work on the patio due to a fallen tree across the road. This happened just 30 minutes after he return from an errand! Please bring your trailer by if you need any firewood this winter. We have two widow makers over the path to the dock and no cash to deal with them at this time!!

  1. The only 'widowmaker' I know is the nickname for a Air Force aircraft (actually, a couple). I take it this is something else.

  2. Nobody has any cash right now, do they? I hope you get them taken care of soon.

  3. Bill, a 'widow maker' is a large limb on a tree that can fall and kill a guy before he knows it. My widow makers are whole trees across the path to the dock. I will post these soon.

  4. I'd be advertising firewood for sale if I were you.
Instead of *egg money* you could be making *wood money.*

I wish a couple of tree that need to come down would just fall on their own. But not on the knock on wood house.

  6. Yes please!

f you have fallen trees or logs right now in the UK, you are rich. With autumn on the way and oil for central heating really expensive, you would have a queue a mile long!

Everyone with a wood burner is using that rather than start the central heating, and hoping prices of oil carry on falling before it gets much colder!
