Added Information

Rethinking my earlier post...I think this picture above gives you a more accurate rendition of what it looks like from my dock if I turn away from the sunset.  According to my neighbor that lives in the million dollar house just to the right of this photo...all will be gone by summer. No, no one is building anything here.  They are just trying to keep the red barge from sinking as it has rusted through!   She promised last year it would be gone and then this fall the red barge was joined by the black barge and tug!  (Click on the photo if you are a machinery/equipment person.)

Just a lovely pond scape indeed.

Have a great trip.

My husband would find that scene awesome.

I like the red barge, it makes the place interesting. And a little less ‘elite’, which must be a good thing.

Friko..."elite" is a very amorphous word in the U.S. right now. Rich or poor, boorishness shows no prejudice.

That would be interesting for, hmmm... a day or two... maybe three.

I like the tug, would make a great summer place. The rest could go though. Your patience is lovely.

Probably fun to watch this activity but I'll bet you'll be happy when this machinery is gone.

Oh dear! Not too attractive but the fact that you overlook a waterfront is so cool....water fronts are non existence around here

Like watching construction on the interstate, it seems interminable, and to take much more equipment than they originally planned, but it is done sooner or later.

I wouldn't be too keen to see that from my waterfront view every day. But it does make for an interesting photo.

Wow it looks alot like a city on the lake there! Stuff like that really would annoy me, along with all the motor noise. Good time to use all those points!

Hope you have alot of fun exploring on your trip!

Looks like the loan spam waited for you to go on holiday...

My boys would absolutely love to see/watch that. I however, would not. Hopefully your neighbor will be good on her word and they will be gone soon.

Even the most macho equipment watcher would get bored after a few days. I hope she keeps her word this time. What a shame to spoil such a lovely view.
