Good Morning

So sorry for the prior post and I wish to formally apologize.  I just felt my head was going to explode.  These past few months have been like being on a diet of bitter coffee forever waiting for the hot chocolate to get delivered.  There is a SMALL segment of our society (much like deeply conservative segments in other countries of the world) that want their way but since they cannot form intelligent arguments or ways to compromise to convince their populace they instead resort to violence, anger, and other stupid ideas.  I will be a very good girl, now and avoid writing about them and certainly avoid reading about them. (I deleted the post...did not want to give them immortality.)

  1. Even simple questions with the best of intentions cannot avoid awakening the beast in many. I personally thank you for taking away their voice.

  2. Sorry the beast reared it's ugly head. I guess, nowadays, bound to happen.

  3. Sometimes you just need to stare that beast in the eye and take it on. It can be healthy. No apology needed by me.

  4. No apology needed friend. Better to let overflow now and then rather than stew, kind of a relief valve.

  5. conservative or liberal, both sides can be ugly and violent and annoying and immature and stupid. I think each side seems to magnify the negative parts of the opposite side. It affects us all in different ways and you are entitled to blow some steam. It's your right as an American. I must admit though that when I read the first paragraph in my reader, I chose not to read the full post because I could feel myself getting mad at you for stereotyping conservatives. Yours is a blog that I love to read whether or not we have differing opinions and I did not want that particular post to affect how I think about you as a person so I tuned it out.

  6. No need to ever apologize. It's your blog (love by many).. your opinion (shared by many) and your right.

  7. I don't recall reading anything here worthy of an apology, but it is your blog after all and it should only reflect what you want it to. I for one will read anything you care to write. Take care.

  10. Funny how we feel we can't use our freedom of speech to protest the same freedom demonstrated by those who think differently than we do. I read that post and found nothing offensive. Apologies for writing about what you're thinking aren't necessary, though I imagine some of your more conservative readers might appreciate them. There is a saying - Nice women seldom make history!

  11. I don't know if it's wrong to go with your bad self sometimes. We are schooled that it is wrong to display negativity, especially us women. But I think that always trying to be nice makes us insipid. Furthermore, the aggression comes out anyway in distorted forms that can be as bad as straightforward anger.
We do get punished for being angry, and that stops us, but sometimes we have the right to be angry and are allowing ourselves to be repressed by the needs of others to keep us in our place.
And also, if you never express opinions, no one really knows what you think. That can have bad consequences.
