Back!

Yep, I am back.  Up to my ears in laundry, mail and yardwork.  Those of you who travel know exactly what this means.  Adventures are great, but it is wonderful to be home even if facing lots of work and more heat.  The very last day on our return we were stuck for two hours (no exaggeration) crossing the George Washington Bridge in NY.  Only one lane was closed for repair, but that caused a major crisis it appears.  So glad I do NOT live in the city.  Going off to read all the posts I have missed and not posting for some time it appears as I have to cover as babysitter this weekend (again!).

Welcome back! I am trying to get laundry and mail done because I am "leaving" soon for vacation. Then, like you, will have to do it all over again when we return. Oh, the cost of leisure!

I'm sorry your car traveling was long, but hope you enjoyed your vacation.

Have fun babysitting. :)

Missed you posting. Happy you are safely back home. Thanks for taking time to comment on my grandson this early morning.
With the rain, heat and it repeating I have a big mess. Weeds everywhere and too humid outside for me to tackle...

I've been looking forward to your return. Sometimes you need a vacation to recover from a vacation. Take care.

We have been home for three days and our daughter and two grandkids are coming in a few days. I'm feeling lazy, alas, but will pull myself together soon.

It feels great to be back from a trip, doesn't it? No place like home. Better rest up before the grandkids show up.

Yes, it's always very busy when we get back from a trip. I'm trying to catch up from just being gone three days.

I always love getting home too- Feels suddenly relaxing, like taking a weight off. Take it easy on the chore list in the heat!
I haven't been stuck on the George Wash Bridge since '01 road trip from here to Fl. Love that Garden City Parkway too...
I'll be gone a few Days to a few miles shy of the Can. border again- will enjoy that cool air- been too hot for me this week.
Welcome back!
